The intensive preparatory work for the main NRD EA event of the year has reached its peak - on the 22nd of July more than 40 Tanzanian media representatives gathered in Dar es Salaam where the President of ISACA Tanzania Chapter Mr. Boniface Kanemba and the CEO of Norway Registers Development East Africa Limited Mr. Sebastian Marondo presented the upcoming Cyber Defence East Africa 2013.

During the press conference, Mr. Kanemba and Mr. Marondo spoke about the purpose and the agenda of the event and answered questions about cyber security issues in East Africa (bank frauds, mobile money payments, etc.). 

The purpose of the Cyber Defence East Africa 2013, which will be taking place on the 28th-30th August 2013 in Morogoro, Tanzania, is to assist organisations in creating a secure digital environment in the East African region through building capacity of the stakeholders and raising awareness. The event is targeted at information security professionals, information systems auditors, IT risk professionals and IT enthusiasts from East Africa.
