The Students of international computer science and information technology summer school, known as BaSoTi (Baltic Summer School), held at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), took advantage of practical cyber defence and forensic courses at the critical IT infrastructure company BAIP.

The aim of the international computer science and information technology summer school is to promote global approach and cooperation between the universities in the Baltic Sea region and help students prepare for international master and doctoral studies in German universities.

BaSoTi brought together 37 students from various European universities. Without theoretical cryptography, Internet security, and other IT lectures, students have also attended BAIP lectures and practical cyber defence and forensics courses where they had a chance to practice and develop skills received at the scientific Baltic region conference "Network Security and Forensics".

BaSoTi summer school is beeing organized by Science Confederation, IuK., for nine years already. This year the school is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and is sponsored by the German Embassy in Vilnius.
